I was recently sent the following blog post from a company that does software consulting. It really does sum up many of the realities of the job search. In particular, I like the author’s funny but concise way of writing. I can agree that people who name their resume “Resume” or “My Resume” should probably take a tenth of a second to think about who their audience is… indeed, thinking about what the employer wants or what they are looking for is key to all aspects of the job search. Being too focused on what’s convenient or easy for you definitely isn’t the path towards getting hired.
